Family fun cross-country ski event is Saturday

    A family-fun cross-country ski event will be held from 1:30-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 at the Linneus Sno-Sports trails and clubhouse.
    The event is free to all participants, and the Maine Winter Sports Center equipment trailer will be on hand to lend out boots, poles and skis to use.
    Ski lessons will also be given for those who want to learn how to ski and for those who want to improve their skiing. There will be demonstrations on classical cross-country skiing and skate skiing, along with ski games for children.
    During the day, a bonfire will be started, and hot dogs, s’mores, hot chocolate and coffee will be served. Bring your family and friends and enjoy an afternoon of outdoor fun, sponsored by the Southern Aroostook Ski Club.
