HOULTON — Do you love of Irish music, Irish food and Irish raffles? If so, the first annual St. Patrick’s Pot o’ Gold Dinner at the Elks Club on March 15 is the place for you. Proceeds from dinners and raffles will benefit the Southern Aroostook Cultural Arts Project, the non-profit arts organization based in Houlton. Tickets for the dinner are available at Aroostook Milling, York’s Bookstore, as well as, at Visions at 66 Main Street, Houlton.
The St. Patrick’s dinner will be accompanied by Irish music from local musicians including Kindred Harps, the Shamrockers Irish Fiddle group, and the Shiretones, an international barbershop group.
The dinner will feature Irish pork tenderloin with potato stuffing, carrot and tarragon soup, parsnip casserole, Irish soda bread and “Guiness Stout Chocolate Cake” along with other dessert offerings. A vegetarian alternative will be available.
A “blarney raffle” and door prizes will be part of the evening and those who come in an Irish costume will get a free raffle ticket.
Tickets for the dinner are $15 per adult and $10 per child. Make reservations today by purchasing tickets at the outlets.
