Egg activities set for Saturday

     As Aroostook County communities continue to dig their way out of the snow, the Wintergreen Arts Center (WGAC) is bringing spring indoors in preparation for its second annual Artful Egg Event.  Wintergreen will be offering egg-themed activities Saturday, March 15 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., including creative egg dying, decorating glittery baskets, and springtime cupcake decorating. In addition, children will be able to dance the Bunny Hop, dig for golden eggs in a bouncy house, test their skills in the Egg Toss, and take a chance at the Duck Pond for an opportunity to win exciting prizes! Two new baby lambs will be available for little hands to touch and baby bunnies will also be on display.
    Wintergreen staff, along with numerous volunteers, will be on hand to join in the fun and provide information regarding upcoming spring classes. Artful Egg sponsorship has been graciously provided through partnerships with Citadel Broadcasting and the Aroostook Centre Mall. Proceeds from the Artful Egg will be used to construct the Wintergreen Arts Gallery, a casual social space to showcase local artists and further promote the arts in northern Maine.
