OAKFIELD, Maine — It’s business as usual for Oakfield’s town meeting scheduled for March 24.
Town Manager Dale Morris said a $443,656 municipal budget is being proposed. This total is up, 1.75 percent overall, due to general budget increases.
At the ballot this year, voters will chose three members for the Board of Selectmen. Cathy Briggs is running for a 3-year term on the board; Linwood Hersey and Anthony White are vying for one 2-year term. Robert Dickinson and Willis Green are competing for one 1-year term.
One 3-year term on the CSD 9 School Committee is also on the ballot; Brad White is running for this office.
On Monday, March 24, voting hours will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the town office; town meeting will convene at 7 p.m. at the Oakfield Community Center.
