PRESQUE ISLE – Exquisite Homes earned their right to have their team name placed on the Dunc Beaton Cup after defeating TAMC 6-3 in the 2008 Gentlemen’s Hockey League final on March 3.

Goal tending by Bob Eager, of Exquisite Homes, and Carl Morneau, of TAMC, kept the offensive lineups working hard for their goals. Eager made a particularly memorable save on a rock of a slap shot from the blue line.
Exquisite Homes put in the first puck when Pierre Patenaude beat Morneau after taking a pass from Darren Carlisle.
TAMC tied the game a minute later when Grady Anderson scored off of a pass from Chris Eastham.
In the second period, Eastham scored again giving TAMC the lead. However, Eric St. Peter soon scored to tie the game at two each. Less than a minute later, Carlisle scored on a pass from Patenaude, giving Exquisite Homes the lead yet again.
Early in the third, TAMC tied the game at three all on Tyler Brown’s goal assisted by Eastham.
Exquisite Homes than scored three unanswered goals to win the game and take the Dunc Beaton Cup.
