Saddened by the passing of Dr. Varnum

To the editor:
    I am deeply saddened by the the passing of Norm Varnum. Norm and I were professionally associated for 16 years and those years were, for me, exceedingly pleasant and a true learning experience on my part. He was mild-mannered, treated everyone with respect including his employees and was fair in every decision. He knew his profession well. In short, Norm was a good guy.     Allow me to convey my condolences to family members.
