KICK BUTTS DAY — Members of the STOP team at Mill Pond School in Hodgdon were very busy on April 2 promoting “Kick Butts Day.” The students shown above were spreading the message that tobacco related illnesses kill 1,200 people a day. They held a guessing contest and educated  4th and 5th graders on the dangers on smoking. Many students pledged to stay smoke-free by placing their handprint on the wall along with reasons why they want to live smoke-free. A few of the members dressed in costume to stress the seriousness of choosing to smoke.
