Pike, Frank H., 89, Caribou, in Caribou, April 22, 2008. Spring interment will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.

 

 Image   CARIBOU – Frank H. Pike, 89, died April 22, 2008 at Caribou.  He was born at Caribou, December 11, 1918, the son of Judson and Abbie (Brown) Pike.  He was a graduate of the Caribou High School and served with the US Army during WWII.  Frank was employed at the Dead River Co. for 30 years as manager of the Caribou area.  He attended the Caribou United Baptist Church; was a past member of the Lions Club; a life member of the Lister-Knowlton Post #9389 VFW and was a member of the Caribou Masonic Lodge #170 A.F. & A.M.  He was also a past member of the Caribou Score Chapter. 
    Surviving in addition to his wife Lorna Russell-Pike of Caribou are a step-daughter Brenda Russell of  Bangor; two brothers-in-law George Morgan of Caribou and Roger Matthews of PA; two sisters-in-law Peggy Matthews of PA and Dot Morgan of Caribou; special nieces and nephews Ann and Michael Gahagan of Caribou, Sally and Bruce Blackman of Kennebunk, Susan and Dean Erickson of CO and Omer Toner of VA; great-nieces and nephews Katie and Greg Bartlett and Makayla Gahagan all of Caribou; Tara and Rick Taggett of Woodland, Elizabeth, Sam and Leslie Blackman all of Kennebunk; great-great-nephews Wyatt and Jesse Taggett of Woodland; a special faithful visiting friend Ken Ginn of Caribou.  Frank was predeceased by his first wife Barbara (Morgan) Pike on January 13, 1991 and by three sisters Mildred Toner, Gertrude Russell and Erma Drake.
    The family extends a special thank you to Rev. John Kiehn and Rev. Joshua Burden of the Caribou United Baptist Church for all that they have done for Frank. 
    Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, Wednesday 6-8 p.m., with evening military services being held at 6 p.m., by the officers and members of the VFW.  Funeral services was held 1  p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2008, from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joshua Burden, officiating.  Spring interment will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery.  Friends  who wish to contribute in memory of Frank may do so through the Caribou United Baptist Church Memorial Fund or to the  Alzheimer’s Association.  Envelopes may be obtained through the funeral home.  For online registery please go to www.mocklerfuneralhome.com.
