Phillip Merritt and Ashley Plossay were united in marriage on Oct. 27 in private ceremony performed by Rev. Arthur Myers at First Baptist Church in Houlton. Their attendants were Wayne Merritt, brother of the groom, and Virginia Merritt Daniels, friend of the bride.
Ashley is the daughter of Eric and Michelle Ladd of Bangor, and the granddaughter of Beth Bolduc of Augusta. She is a graduate of Houlton High School.
Phillip is the son of Steven Merritt of Littleton and Brenda Merritt of Ludlow, and the grandson of Laura Snell of Ludlow. Phillip is a graduate of Houlton High School and is currently employed at Dead River I-95 Food Trend. He is presently in the process of rejoining the Marines.
A celebration of their marriage is being planned for the end of May.
