Enjoyed Aroostook

To the editor:
    I would like to express my appreciation for the warm hospitality I received on my first visit to Presque Isle, Caribou and Limestone this week. The fine weather helped also — after five months of being trained to appreciate it.     I learned a good deal from my meetings, mostly about the boatload of things still to be learned.
    Of course, I wasted a number of political handshakes on Canadians passing through. But that goes with the territory. Anyway they all seemed amused by it, so maybe it was beneficial to international relations.
    Looking forward to a return visit in the near future.
