Business grant given to flood victims

    Presque Isle – MMG Insurance Company has given the Pine Tree Chapter of the American Red Cross a $5,000 grant to assist the chapter in its efforts to help flood victims in northern Maine. The unrestricted grant will be used as needed by the Red Cross to help Maine families who were displaced by the historic flooding in late April along the St. John, Fish and other Aroostook County rivers.
    “MMG Insurance Company has committed to help the local communities affected by the flooding in Aroostook County through a grant to the American Red Cross,” said Larry Shaw, president and CEO of the company. “The Red Cross is a lead agency in helping local residents rebuild their lives following this natural disaster and our company is pleased to support their good work.”
