Members of Girl Scout Troop 3014 in Caribou participated in a “senior prom” at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Caribou recently.
Complete with a live band, the girls danced with some of the residents and served cake and punch. In top photo, in front from left are Hannah Holmes, Christina Thompson, Amber Kelley, Helen Engstrom, leader, Erin McBean, Amber Stavnesli. In back are Tammy Kelley, leader, Victoria Dunn, Meagan Engstrom, and Miranda Williamson. The little visitor in front is Janice Tracy.
Doug Michaud, a member of “The Good Ole Boys,” the band that entertained at the Maine Veterans’ Home has a waltz with five-year-old Janice Tracy, granddaughter of Tina Tracy who also attended the event.
Members of the “The Good Ole Boys,” are on guitar from left are Duane Anderson of Caribou, Don Peters of New Sweden, Doug Michaud of Caribou and Joe Duheme of Woodland. On keyboard in the back is Silas Gustafson of New Sweden.
During the evening, the Girl Scouts also performed several line dances for the veterans.
