Ceremony; picnic held at tech center for students

    Caribou High School Technology Director Ralph Conroy recently welcomed students, staff and invited guests to an end-of-the-year awards ceremony and picnic at the Tech Center, May 30.

    Named Outstanding Technology students from the afternoon sessions during the end-of-the—year awards ceremony are, from left: Timothy Jordan, Brad Gustafson, Steven McDougal, Matt Tardiff, Sam Robertson, Kristen Goupille, Ralph Conroy, director at the technology center, Seth Plante, Chris Stairs, Fred Asam and Josh Kelly.

    During the event, individual instructors spoke about the 2007-08 school year prior to passing out completion certificates and announcing their choices for “Outstanding Student.” Each outstanding student received a technology T-shirt.
    The technology center staff congratulates their seniors and look forward to the remaining students to return to the center in the fall.
     Seniors who received the Outstanding Student Technology Award in the morning sessions at the center  were: Dustin Griffin, Chelsea Michaud, Todd Michaud, Lucas Butler and Robert LaLonde. Also Carrie Jackson, Matthew Harris, Thomas Anderson and Michael Doucette.
    Those receiving the Outstanding Student Technology  award attending the afternoon session at the center were: Timothy Jordan, Brad Gustafson, Steven McDougal, Matt Tardiff, Sam Robertson, Kristen Goupille, Seth Plante, Chris Stairs, Fred Asam and Josh Kelly.
    Stacey Turner, an employee at Bell’s Body & Pain Shop in Caribou, was recognized for 90 hours of service he provided in the Auto Body Repair Program Turner was given a Technology Center  T-shirt.
    Door prizes, donated by colleges and local businesses, were drawn, with most every student receiving a prize.
    Students and guests attending the picnic and awards event enjoyed hotdogs, chips, watermelon, cookies and milk all donated by the Caribou Food Service Program as well as water and soda supplied by the Coca-Cola Bottling Company.
