SACO – A team of Aroostook County’s own young basketball players took their skills downstate, and brought back the 2008 AAU State Championship in the 11-years-old and under division.

At the Howard Sports Center in Saco, the County Boys defeated number-one ranked MB Nation 33-27 in the semifinals. The Maine Bobcats fell 41-27 in the finals.
Despite facing teams who had a chance to log more practices and having to travel several hours for competition, the County team made the commitment to their game for the championship.
