LINNEUS — A single vehicle accident on July 4 left two Houlton residents hospitalized, but alive.

Moran was unable to gain control and the 1983 Honda Gold Wing, the two were riding on, skidded off the right side of the road. They narrowly missed a collision with two telephone poles.
Both were taken to the Houlton Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Moran sustained internal injuries and head trauma, Hoskins also sustained internal injuries and cuts and bruises. Both were not wearing helmets and are still being treated at the hospital.
