With beautiful weather over the past week, it was great to see everyone out playing. As the season swings into full force, keep in mind the different events going on. The events include Tuesday Morning Ladies’ Group, Thursday Points Game and Sunday Team Best Ball.
Also, an alternate shot Couples’ League is going to take place each Monday at 5 p.m. The cost is $5 per team.
In other news, the new irrigation system is finished which should improve the course conditions over the coming weeks, months, and years.
On July 19, VaJoWa will host the Second Death to the White Birch Tree Scramble. The cost is $15 for members and $45 for guests. Teams will be chosen through a random draw. Once again the winning team will get to cut the tree down in front of number-one green or choose to save it.
The Moonlight Golf Tournament will be held on July 25 at 9 p.m. The cost for the event is $30, which includes the moonlight golf materials, golf with a cart and prizes. The event will be a four-player, nine-hole scramble.
