PRESQUE ISLE – Michael H. Kelley, vice president of business development and sales manager for TD Banknorth in Presque Isle, was recently honored with the highest award given annually within the TD Bank Financial Group.

MICHAEL H. KELLEY, vice president of business development and sales manager for TD Banknorth and 2008 Vision in Action award recipient, presents a $500 contribution to the NMCC Foundation to Northern Maine Community College President Timothy Crowley.
Kelley was one of 74 employees presented with the Vision in Action award. The TD Bank Financial Group is headquartered in Toronto, and has 74,000 employees in offices around the world.
“Vision in Action recipients are, quite simply, the best of an outstanding group of employees. This is the highest honor TD Bank Financial Group awards,” said Ed Clark, president and chief executive officer of TD Financial Group. “The award represents the highest level of achievement within the organization and celebrates extraordinary people who are committed to our vision and demonstrate our guiding principles.”
To celebrate the achievement, Kelley and other award recipients and their guests were invited to a variety of recognition activities and events at the 2008 annual meeting held recently in Calgary, Alberta.
In addition to recognition at the annual meeting, honorees select a non-profit organization to receive a $500 contribution from TD Bank Financial Group. Kelley, a 2000 graduate of the business administration program at Northern Maine Community College, selected the NMCC Foundation as the recipient of the donation.
“I was very honored to be selected as a recipient of this award,” said Kelley. “When it came to picking an organization to receive the donation, I immediately identified the NMCC Foundation. The College provided me with an excellent foundation and top quality education. A great deal of what I have accomplished in business has been a direct result of what I learned during my years at NMCC. I am so pleased to be able to give back in this way.”
Kelley recently presented the TD Bank Financial Group contribution to NMCC President Timothy Crowley.
“Mike Kelley is an outstanding example of NMCC alumni who are both excelling in their profession and making a positive difference in the community,” said Crowley. “The faculty, staff and administration of the College join with Mike’s family and work family in congratulating him on this impressive honor.”
