Loretta Williams Dwyer

Dwyer, Loretta W., July 17, 2008.  Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls.  Interment was held at the Island Falls Cemetery.
    ISLAND FALLS – Loretta Williams Dwyer, died peacefully and went to be with her Lord July 17, 2008, at Houlton Regional Hospital. She was born in Philadelphia, the first child of Brighton and Josephine (Vickey) Williams.
    She and her mother moved from Boston to Island Falls in 1950 and both worked in housekeeping at Milliken Hospital. She married her beloved Edward on his birthday in 1954. They spent 54 loving and productive years together. She was a member of United Baptist Church, Island Falls. She was a very social person and enjoyed visits by numerous friends. Among her passions were camping, canning fruits and vegetables, and quiet scenic rides in the countryside.
    She was predeceased by her mother, Josephine Williams. She is survived by her husband, Edward of Island Falls; her brother, George Wagner of Quincy, Mass.; sisters-in-law, Edith Dwyer of Island Falls and Mary Lawler of Patten; and brother-in-law, Terry Dwyer of Island Falls.
    Friends called 7-9 p.m. Monday, July 21, at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at United Baptist Church, Island Falls, with Pastor Gary Johnson as officiate. Burial was held immediately after at Island Falls Cemetery.
