KINGFIELD — The sun shown bright on the NPPA pullers last weekend as they made their way to to the Western Maine mountains to be a part of “Kingfield Days”. The day started with some of the pullers being asked to be a part of the Kingfield parade then it was on to the Jordan Pit where the pulls were held. Several local pullers also joined the competition.

This weekend Northern Penobscot Pullers will be in Springfield on Saturday at 1 p.m. and then in Bangor on Sunday at noon.
The results from the Kingfield event are:
2×4 Super stock 5,800 lbs. — first, Bradd Giguere in Unleashed; and second, Barry Dow of Houlton in the Intimidator.
2×4 Super stock 6,200 lbs. — first, B. Dow in the Intimidator; second, Pete Mercier in Sneaky Pete; and third, Bradd Giguere in Unleashed.
4×4 Super stock 5,800 lbs. — first, Jere Humphrey of Washburn in White Lightnin’; second, Hampy Carter in the Instigator; and third Steve Haines in BlackGold.
4×4 Super stock 6,200 lbs A — first, J. Humphrey in White Lightnin’; second, Kim Carter in the Instigator; and third, Andy Abbott in Red Neck Cadillac.
4×4 Super stock 6,200 lbs B — first, J. Humphrey in White Lightnin’; second, Kim Carter in the Instigator; and third, Preston Cole in 1977 GMC.
