Another stolen heart

To the editor:
I was assaulted at the Houlton Humane Society. Having read their desperate pleas for donations in the Houlton Pioneer Times, I went to their new building to make a donation. As I wrote a check she flung her arms around my neck and burrowed her face in my hair. Now she has invaded my home.
I thought I didn’t need her. I knew I didn’t want her. I was sure our family was complete without her. I was wrong. She has added joy and laughter to our lives.
If your family doesn’t need another cat, if you already have one or two, please consider adopting more. You too might find your heart stolen at the Houlton Humane Society.
