OPEN FOR BUSINESS — Eddie D’s, which opened two weeks ago just across the street from Shop ‘n Save, is holding its grand opening all this week.
Eddie D’s, located at 15 Stewart Street just across from Shop ‘n Save, provides a very useful service to the community, by acting as another location for the town’s citizens to get rid of their used cans and bottles without throwing them in the trash. The new business offers five cents for each can or bottle they receive.
Although Eddie D’s opened its doors two weeks ago, they are just now really getting going with the business. This whole week is being looked at as a grand opening of sorts for the town’s newest redemption center, according to owner Edward DeLeo, of Monticello.
Eddie D’s is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
