PRESQUE ISLE: The University of Maine Cooperative Extension will be offering a two-part food-canning workshop from 9 a.m. to noon at the Cooperative Extension office. Part I will cover the basics of food canning and the class will practice using a water bath canner. Part II will cover pressure canning and participants will have the opportunity to can with a pressure canner. Registration for these hands-on workshops is $10 for both sessions.
