Green, Janice P., 69, July 28, 2008.  Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton.  Interment was held in the Island Falls Cemetery.
    ISLAND FALLS – Janice P. Green, 69, died July 28, 2008, at Houlton Regional Hospital. She was born Aug. 22, 1938, in Island Falls, the daughter of the late Ralph and Anita (Leavitt) Green.
    Janice was a member of Island Falls United Baptist Church and was employed at the National Starch Factory for more than 30 years. She loved spending her summer months at her camp on Mattawamkeag Lake, enjoying all that nature had to offer there. She will be remembered by her special friends and neighbors at camp.
    She is survived by one brother, Gaylon Green and his wife, Lois, of Island Falls; three nephews, Cary Green and his wife, Lynn, Timothy Green, all of Island Falls and Kevin Green and his wife, Beth, of West Virginia; two nieces, Julia Jordan and her husband, Dan, of West Virginia, and Christie Greener and her husband, Stuart, of Hermon; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
    Friends called noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Island Falls United Baptist Church, where funeral services were held 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Johnson as officiate. Interment was at Island Falls Cemetery. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton.
