The University of Maine at Fort Kent has announced that University of Maine System is offering Osher Scholarships of up to $750.
Applicants must be a resident of Maine, must be a high school graduate or a GED recipient, and be committed to completing a 100-level or 200-level development course. Additionally, applicants must not have completed a college course through the University of Maine System.
The scholarship will be applied toward tuition, required books and all fees associated with the course. To qualify, a student must enroll in a course at UMFK, on-line course or an ITV site in Van Buren, Eagle Lake or Madawaska.
The Osher Scholarships encourage Maine residents to pursue higher education.
“We have had a number of success stories with this program,” said Donald Eno, academic outreach coordinator at UMFK. Now is the time to apply for this coming fall.”
