Chamber promotes economic growth of local communities

    For over 50 years the Presque Isle Area Chamber of Commerce has served, advanced and publicized the commercial, agricultural and civic interests of Aroostook County, with special emphasis on the member communities of Ashland, Blaine, Castle Hill, Chapman, Easton, Mapleton, Mars Hill, Masardis, Oxbow, Portage, Presque Isle, Washburn and Westfield.     The Chamber of Commerce provides opportunities for networking, sharing of information and mutual support. Membership in the PIACC insures that your business is presented to area residents and visitors. Hundreds of calls a week relate to people looking for names and contact information for local businesses. We provide the information available to us, answer an array of questions posed and welcome the opportunities to promote member businesses.
    Benefits of membership include, but are not limited to, reduction in bulk mailing costs, health care benefits, credit card services, plus all the benefits of networking with other dedicated business managers and owners. Members also have an opportunity to describe their services on our new, updated Web site, www.pichamber.com, providing worldwide access to anyone using the Internet.
    Inclusion in the 2008-2009 Membership Directory requires that your membership be current as of Aug. 31, 2008. Over 1,500 directories are distributed to area businesses, new residents and tourists looking for services in the area. Listing in the directory is well worth the membership investment. The entire membership package makes this an offer difficult to turn down.
