Image     PATTEN – Ronald P. Chambers Sr., 78, died August 22, 2008, at Millinocket. He was born June 13, 1930, in Crystal, the son of Lester and Nora Chambers.
    Ronald served in the US Army during the Korean War.  He was employed at New London Shipyard, Patten Plywood Mill, Sherman Lumber and worked as an independant trucker. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He lived life to the fullest, always telling a joke, singing a song or whistling a tune. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a member of the Crystal Wesleyan Church and loved witnessing to others. He touched alot of lives and will be greatly missed by all.
     He left behind his wife of 41 years, Joyce Evelyn (Main) Brawn Chambers of Patten; his son, Ronnie and his wife, Claudia and their daughter, Rhonda of Island Falls; his daughter, Suzanne York and her husband, Tom and their children, Nicholas Beaulieu, Jeremy York, and Patrick York of Island Falls; daughter, Robin Chambers of Presque Isle; son, Joseph Jody Brawn of Bethel and his friend, Linda Grace of Providence RI and his children, Jamie and Shaw McAllian of Bath, Jennifer and Paul Spencer, Michelle and Brian Crocker, Brent Brawn and their mother, Cynthia Brawn, all of St. Albans; daughter, Cynthia and her husband, Mike and their daughters, Melanie and Corey Jordan of Lowell; 12 very special great-grandchildren; his brothers, Rodney and Robert; his sisters, Madeline Boone, Bessie Boone, both of Crystal, Helen McMann of Fort Fairfield; and a special sister-in-law, Audrey Chambers of Crystal. He was predeceased by his daughter, Rhonda Chambers; his brothers, Lester Jr., Bill, Pat and Harley; and his twin sister, Rowena Cloutier.
    Friends called 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2008, at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Crystal Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Peter Main officiating.  Interment was in the Patten Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to the Crystal Wesleyan Church, c/o Bowers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 579, Houlton, ME 04730.
