CMS boys’ soccer posts opening win

    CARIBOU – The Caribou Middle School boys’ soccer team triumphed over Houlton, 3-1, in the opening week of the 2008 season. The Vikings made two goals late in the second half to break a 1-1 tie for the win over the Shires.    Adam Collins scored both of Caribou’s second half goals with assists from Dean Walker. Walker also scored a goal early in the game on a penalty kick. Keeper David Pelkey played in the CMS net.
    The Vikings fell 4-0 in their first game of the season against Madawaska. Walker, Austin Caverhill and Breen Blackstone led the offensive effort for Caribou. Cody Herbert held off the Owls in the Caribou net.
