UMF dean’s list
FARMINGTON – University of Maine at Farmington has announced its dean’s list for the spring 2008 semester. UMF maintains a dean’s list each semester for those students completing a minimum of 12 credits in courses producing quality points.
A student whose grade-point average equals or exceeds 3.8 will be listed with high academic achievement.
A student whose grade-point average for the semester is less than 3.8 but equal to or greater than 3.5 will be listed with academic achievement. Any incompletes must be satisfactorily completed before the student is honored with dean’s list status. Academic achievement awarded at commencement is based on all course work taken at UMF.
Local students making the list include: Bridgewater, Ashley Porter; and Washburn, Jada Molton.
NESCOM honors students
BANGOR—A total of 171 students attained either honors or high honors for the spring semester at the New England School of Communications in Bangor. Receiving high honors for a grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale were 81 students while another 90 achieved honors grades of 3.0 to 3.4. Students named to the honor roll were: Daren Hunter, Ashland and Amanda Nadeau, Presque Isle, high honors; Rick Fitzgerald, Presque Isle, honors.
University of Vermont
BURLINGTON, Vt. – The following students received awards during Honors Day celebrations at the University of Vermont this
spring:
Stephanie Ann Holton, of Presque Isle, was honored with the Scholastic Achievement in Medical Laboratory Science Award from the Department of Medical Laboratory and Radiation Sciences.
Holton is a student in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
Dana N. Michalowski, of Presque Isle, was honored with the Community Development & Applied Economics Teaching Assistant Award.
Michalowski is a student in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
