Pig roast enjoyed by all

Organizations
The Easton Pentecostal Church had a perfect day for their annual Pig Roast on Labor Day. The attendance was the largest ever for the event with 290 hungry people.

They served well-cooked pork and roast beef, along with many salads, biscuits, desserts, coffee and punch. During the meal they were entertained by Hughie Gray and a Casey family music group from the Bethel Pentecostal Church of Oakfield.
Visits
Cynthia Plourde and Linda Hansen of Salsbury, Mass., along with Linda’s daughter, Tina Martinez, also of Salsbury, spent the long Labor Day weekend with their parents, Freda and Rollie Dionne.
Sympathy
Our sympathy to those relatives of 63-year-old Sylvia Fuller of Carol Stream, Ill., formerly of Easton, who passed away on Aug.27 after suffering a severe head trauma from a fall down stairs. Sylvia was the daughter of Dwight and Louise Fuller and grew up in Easton and graduated from Easton High School. She also graduated from Bethany Bible School and worked for many years as a contributions assistant at The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM) in Wheaton, Ill. She was a member of the Wheaton Bible Church where she was a member of the choir. She leaves a brother, Walter Scott Fuller, and his family, of Wells, and two sisters, Sarah Fuller, of Germantown, Md., and Susan Vacheresse and family, of Medford, Mass., and seven nieces and nephews: Myrna Giberson, Carla Cramer, Lisa Cogliano, R. Donald, Michelle, Scott and Rebecca Vacheresse. Funeral services were held at the Duncan Graves Funeral Home in Presque Isle last  Monday with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating. Interment was in the Estes Park Cemetery in Easton.  Those who wish may donate to the Easton Wesleyan Church, P.O. Box 15, Easton, ME 04740.
Our sympathy also goes out to the family of 70-year-old Doreen Flewelling Jones of London, Ohio, who lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday Aug. 27 at the Madison County Hospital. She was the daughter of Lincoln and Dora Flewelling. Doreen spent her growing-up years in Easton and then married a boy from Mars Hill, Lewis “Josh” Jones, whom she cherished for 50 years. Besides her husband of London, Ohio, she leaves daughters, Jennifer Jones of Reynoldsburg, Penny Flowers, of London, Ohio, and a son, Relland Jones, who is stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany, as well as their families. She leaves six grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Phyllis Nadeau of Easton and Dorothy Larsen of Dover-Foxcroft, and their families. She was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Vaida Leach, and a brother, Alfred Flewelling. There was a memorial service held Saturday, Aug. 30, at the London Grace Brethren Church with the Rev.
