    Maine Arts Commission plans workshop
    PRESQUE ISLE – The Maine Arts Commission is holding the last in a series of successful statewide workshops on Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 12:40 to 5:30 p.m. in the Campus Center at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.     The workshops and discussions will cover technology and marketing, cotemporary art and public art, community arts, and traditional arts and art in education. One-on-one grant writing assistance is available.
    The workshops are free and require no pre-registration. Due to past successes, however, those wishing to meet with the grant doctor should pre-register for that option only. For information or to register, call Darrell Bulmer at 287-6746.
Aroostook Pediatrics offers extended hours
    PRESQUE ISLE – Aroostook Pediatrics, a department of The Aroostook Medical Center, is now offering evening appointments in their Presque Isle office at A.R. Gould Memorial Hospital. Appointments for sick visits, immunizations, sports physicals, and other pediatric services are available until 8 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
