Farrar named assistant Adult Ed director

Image    SAD 29/70 Houlton/Hodgdon Adult Education announces that Bernadette Farrar has been named Assistant Director of Adult Education at the Houlton Higher Education Center.
    Farrar has worked in various adult education capacities for 12 years, starting as a home-based family literacy caseworker. Since then she has held positions of instructor, family literacy coordinator, and adult basic education supervisor. In her new capacity as assistant director she will be overseeing the corrections education program, family literacy, the new classroom managed enrollment system, and the college transitions program.
    A graduate of Lee Academy and the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Farrar previously worked for the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, ACAP Preventative Health, and the SAD 29 After School Program. She resides in Houlton with her family, and is very active in civic and family organizations.
