Thursday, September 25

11:59 p.m. Access Highway — Disorderly Conduct — A caller advise police of a large altercation at a local business. A second call at 12 a.m. informed police again of a large fight at the same location, involving eight or ten individuals. Caller stated a male subject there had struck some females.
    Action — Officers were looking for subject who was last seen heading toward Limestone on foot. Limestone Police were alerted. At 12:17 a.m. an officer requested a K-9 unit and Maine State Police were notified. 12:22 a.m., officer stated he had located male subject and he was in custody. 12:24 a.m. Officer advised that the Taser had been deployed and requested another unit to the location; 12:25 a.m. Taser was deployed a second time. At 12:43 a.m. police units left the scene in route to Cary Medical Center following the ambulance. Officers left the hospital at1:40 a.m. Subject was charged with three assaults, criminal mischief, possession of liquor by a minor, possession of marijuana and a warrant.
5 p.m. Lynn Drive — Theft — A male caller reported that during the previous night someone had stolen one of his Canadian Goose decoys from his yard. Estimated value was $40.
    Action — The missing decoy was located on the front lawn of another resident and was returned to owner.
9:25 p.m. Smith Street — Suspicious Person _ A caller advised police a neighbor had come to his residence stating there was a female subject in one of his garages. Caller looked out and saw subject walking thru a neighbor’s yard. He had tried to follow her, losing sight then discovered her hiding behind some telephone poles.
    Action — Police determined while female subject was out walking she had seen a skunk and was trying to avoid it.
10:28 p.m. West Gate Road — Disorderly Conduct — Caller reported loud music coming from another residence, stating he was trying to get some sleep because he was employed as a harvest worker.
    Action — Officer arrived at location and did not hear any music, but he could hear people talking inside. Officer spoke with occupant and she acknowledged that the music had been turned up prior to his arrival. Subject was advised that this was the third complaint within the past week and if it continued she would be visiting court. Subject stated she understood.

Friday, September 26

1:35 p.m. Access Highway — Police Information — A male individual reported he had been told that a male subject had made threats to smash the windshields out of his cars in the parking lot and wanted inform police in case subject does something at night.
    Action — Police informed caller they would watch the area.
3:30 p.m.  Fort Road — Motor Vehicle  Complaint — Caller indicated being passed by a vehicle on the Fort  Road in a hilly and twisted area by the Main Siding Road. Subject vehicle made an unsafe pass almost striking the front of the vehicle, subject vehicle appeared to be chasing a second vehicle that had previously passed. Police were advised that the driver of the subject vehicle was the only occupant and appeared to be a younger male.
     Action — Officer spoke with to vehicle owner who admitted to be driving, indicating he did not think he had operated recklessly and did apologize. Driver was advised to watch his operation on future excursions.
4:42 p.m. River Road — Juvenile  Complaint — Police were informed of juveniles on the River Road were in the roadway all the time, hindering the flow of traffic. During that day, three female juveniles would not move for a vehicle, stepping back into the roadway as the vehicle tried to drive by.
    Action — Officer located several juveniles in the area all who denied any activity of that nature. The juveniles were informed of the complaint and were advised to cease if they were, in fact, obstructing traffic.

Saturday, September 27

12:05 a.m. Skyway Plaza — Harassment — A female from a local business came into the police station advised that a female subject was harassing her. Female subject was banned for life from entering the business but continuously visiting the business and asking to speak to the woman at the business. Woman from business refused to speak with subject who in turn told her party not to pay for their drinks.
    Action — Woman from business advised to obtain a protection order; woman requested the incident be noted.
12:30 a.m. — Jacobs Avenue — Disorderly Conduct — Caller reported loud music coming from a nearby apartment and requested an officer to meet with the offenders.
    Action — Warning was given to a female subject.
1:05 a.m. Main Street — Disorderly Conduct — A female caller advised of hearing glass breaking on the street and  someone walking up her apartment stairs.
    Action — Officer  checked the area and found nothing unusual.

Monday, September 29

4:52 p.m. South Park Street — Drugs — A female caller reported that while her son was walking home  by a local business a male subject had offered him some drugs.
    Action — Officer spoke with juvenile who stated he was walking home from the Recreation Center on Angel Street and a male subject offered him crystal meth. Description given by juvenile of subject was wearing a cowboy, hat, blue shirt with a picture of a horse on it, no glasses, age  was 40s-50s, approximately 5’6’; a large male with a mustache, wearing teal colored pants and boots. Officer checked the area and with employees at business; no one fitting the description was located. Officer advised the mother to call the police station if her son sees the subject again.
    7:03 p.m. Caribou Lake Road — Motor Vehicle Complaint — Caller advised he had been having problems with some female subjects being at his workers camp and that night he had gone there, tried to stop them and they almost ran him down. Caller stated the female subjects’ vehicle was a green sport utility truck. One of the female subjects called stating she was at the location visiting an old school buddy when the caller showed up and started hollering and screaming at them, banging on the hood of their truck. Female stated she was there with a female from Fort Fairfield and also stated that the caller was standing in front of their truck when they left and they almost hit him.
    Action — Fort Fairfield Police located the subjects and all were given criminal trespass warnings and advised to stay off all the property belonging to the caller.
8:11 p.m. Route 1 — Police Information — Maine State Police requested Caribou Police watch for a male subject from Presque Isle who was supposedly walking from Presque Isle to Van Buren to see his 16-year-old-girlfriend. The parents of the female do not want him there and requested he be told to stay away. Police were cautioned that subject was believed to be carrying a handgun.
    Action — Two officers checked the area without located subject.
11;35 p.m. Sweden Street — Indecent Exposure — Caller stated he had observed an unknown male subject urinating on the side of a local business.
    Action — Officer located an intoxicated male from Woodland and issued a warning for disorderly conduct. Subject left by taxi.

Tuesday, September 30

9 a.m. Bog Road — Lost Property — Caller advised his granddaughter had an i-Pod Touch in her back pack and noticed it was missing on Sunday. Value of item  is $400.
1:51 p.m. Lombard Road — Juvenile — Police were informed of a 16-year-old female juvenile was with a male subject on the Lombard Road and she refused to come home, having been at the location since Saturday, partying. Caller wants juvenile to come home.
    Action — Officer followed caller to the residence and juvenile left with caller.
2:13 p.m. Collins Street — Harassment — A female advised police she was currently on Court Street, but her fiancées was at the place of residence and told her of a male subject who keeps driving by the residence every five minutes or so. Female stated she has a protection order in place, giving her full custody of a child and to prevent the male subject from being around her place of residency.
    Action — Police checked information on male subject finding a suppressed protection order. Police made contact with the District Court and they had the order there. Officer would pick up protection order and attempt to serve male subject. Subject not located but police will watch for.
3:40 p.m. Sweden Street — Criminal Trespass — A caller from a local business requested police warn a female subject with a criminal trespass notice because he doesn’t want subject at the business. Subject is a former employee and there had been some type of falling out.
    Action — Female subject was served with a written criminal trespass warning at 4:05 p.m.
4:26 p.m. Bennett Drive — Check on Wellbeing — A female caller reported receiving a strange phone call from her sister stating that her nephew was at the recreation center and had called crying, telling her to call the police. Both women tried calling the Recreation Center and a cell phone  getting no answer at either number.
    Action — Officer checked the area and located subject who was all right. There was a large number of juveniles there with no adult supervision and things had gotten a little out of control.
    7:13 p.m. Limestone Police Department — Agency Assistance — Limestone Police requested assistance at a residence with a male subject who had threatened to kill his family and law enforcement officers. Subject had been involved in a domestic  situation at his residence.
    Action — Caribou Police officers assisted Limestone Police in arresting the subject.
9:40 p.m. Prospect Street — Missing Juvenile — A male caller advised his 16-year-old- granddaughter had left work early and had not returned home.
    Action — Subject was located at a female’s apartment and brought to Cary Medical Center regarding abdominal-pain complaint.

Wednesday, October 1

10:55 a.m. Limestone Street — Suspicious Activity — A male stated he had just driven down to the round house and two males subjects had taken off from in behind the building on foot ; there was a vehicle parked at the location.  Caller also stated the two juveniles had came back out and were standing by the vehicle.
    Action — Officer checking to see what is going on; located the two male subjects and followed them to a residence. Officer located marijuana on one juvenile, transporting him to his home to address the matter with subject’s parents. Parents advised they felt comfortable and able to deal with the matter effectively. Officer advised if there were further incidents they would be contacted from the police station.    
4:20 p.m. Montgomery Avenue — Public Assistance — A female reported receiving paperwork from Vital Recovery Services, Inc., stating she owed them  $763.20 but would settle for $305.28. Caller advised she had nothing to do with this type of account and she did not have any credit cards.
    Action — Officer called the Vital Recovery Company and when they were informed it was the police they asked to speak with the female previously contacted. Female stated that she had contact the Attorney Generals’ office, subject then told her they would dispute the account. Appears to be another scam.
4:30 p.m. Main Street — Public Assistance _ Caller reported she received paperwork from Pinnacle Credit Services LLC, requesting she pay $107.44 but they would settle if she only paid $69.84.
    Action — This was another scam that is running. Police checked the company online and were unable to find it, but instead found where people had been scammed by the company.
6:17 p.m. Caribou Lake Road — Criminal Trespass — Male caller advised the green SUV was back at his migrant camps. Females had been given criminal trespass warnings earlier in the week. Caller stated he was following them and they had just turned into a parking lot on the Washburn Road.
    Action — Officer located subjects who claimed they had just driven by. It did appear that is all that had taken place.
7:06 p.m. Haines Street — Criminal Mischief — A male caller reported he had just arrived home and found a window had been broken in the garage.
    Action — Officer located a bird which had flown thru the window, lying deceased inside the garage.
11:05 p.m. Summit Avenue — Noise Complaint — Caller informed police that the upstairs tenant’s cat was running, making noise.
    Action — Officer advised tenant of the complaint and also informed caller to speak with the landlord, as this was not a police matter.
