FOOTLOOSE —   The cast of “Footloose” had a dress rehearsal Monday night with the orchestra in the  Houlton High School production that brings to life the Broadway musical about a young boy who changes an entire town where dancing is banned. Rebecca DeWan directs the energetic cast and says: “They’re having fun delving into the ‘80s pop music, the energetic dancing and the brightly colored costumes.” The upbeat musical is based on the 1984 hit film that starred Kevin Bacon and went on to become Broadway show with national tours in the United States and the United Kingdom. It is among the most popular school musicals. Tickets, priced at $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors, are available at HHS this week and at the door before show times. “Footloose” runs Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.
