Smith – McLaughlin

    Amanda Jo Smith, daughter of Edwin and Catherine Smith, of Fort Fairfield, and James R. McLaughlin, son of Vaughn McLaughlin and Mari-jo Hedman, of Fort Fairfield, are pleased to announce their engagement.      Amanda is a 2004 graduate of Fort Fairfield High School, a 2006 graduate of Northern Maine Community College, with an associate of applied science degree in accounting information systems and a 2008 graduate of Husson College with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. She is employed as an accountant at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, in Limestone.
    James is a 2003 graduate of Fort Fairfield High School and a 2006 graduate of Northern Maine Community College, with an associate of applied science degree in computer aided drafting. He is employed as a salesman at Rathbun Lumber, in Presque Isle.
    An August 8, 2009 wedding is planned.
