PRESQUE ISLE – A recent silent auction, sponsored by Advantage Payroll Services of Presque Isle, featuring valuable products and services donated by businesses and organizations throughout Aroostook County has raised over $7,000 to support the work of the Northern Maine Community College Foundation.
The auction, held during the annual TD Banknorth Golf Tournament at the Aroostook Valley Country Club in Fort Fairfield, was supported by Advantage Payroll Services, which has a longstanding history of supporting education in the region.
“As one of many Northern Maine Community College alumni working for Advantage Payroll, I am well aware of the top quality education the college provides its students,” said Heidi Graham, vice president of operations. “The wonderful learning opportunities and training my co-workers and I have received, and the career advancement we have realized as a result, are evidenced by the longstanding and continued support of the college by Advantage Payroll.
“We were most pleased to extend that support to the auction held as part of the annual golf tournament. The funds raised through this event help support the activity of the Foundation, which in turn assists students in realizing their dreams of accessing higher education,” she said. “For all of us at Advantage Payroll, supporting the NMCC Foundation is something in which we take a great deal of pride. It truly is our way of giving back.”
