Hunters’ breakfast a success

To the editor:
    The American Legion Post 88, Presque Isle had a successful Hunters’ Breakfast and Raffle due to the generosity and participation of many businesses. Also the many people that bought raffle tickets.     The winners of the raffle were: Donna Marin of Presque Isle, 100 gallons of fuel from Dead River; Hilton Carter of Presque Isle, complete car cleaning from Cowett’s Towing Service; Carol Raineri of Presque Isle, $100 groceries from Star City IGA; Beth Levesque of Limestone, $100 groceries from Friend’s Market; Sharon Mills of Blain, $50 gift certificate from Bonanza; Jules St. Peter of Cross Lake, $50 gift certificate from Carquest; Steve Ellis of Presque Isle, $50 gift certificate from Buck’s Market; and Dan Collins of Presque Isle, $50 gift certificate from Bonanza.
    This project, along with the display flags and the Street on Holidays, enables Post 88 to maintain our Post Home as well as our donations to various organizations such as: Veterans Home Birthday Party, Christmas Gift Table for patients, the Veterans Cemetery in Caribou, The American Legion baseball team, Boys State program, Aroostook Teen leadership camp, Shrine Circus and Project Graduation to name a few.
    Post 88 appreciates the cooperation from the citizens of Presque Isle and the surrounding towns.
