Evelyn P. Cole

Cole, Evelyn P., 92, November 22, 2008.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.  Interment was held in the Evergreen Cemetery, Houlton.
    Houlton – Evelyn P. Cole, 92, went to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ Nov. 22, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 28, 1916, at Hodgdon the daughter of James and Lettie (Kelly) Merritt.
    Evelyn was a member of the Hodgdon Baptist Church and for many years attended the Houlton First Baptist Church with her Husband and sons. She devoted her entire life to her Lord, family and church. She was a member of the True Blue Circle and the Christian Women’s Temperance Union. The love of her life was her sons and spending time with them and their families especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    She is survived by her five sons and their wives, James and Jean, Brian and Sally, Ralph and Sharon, Gary and Louise and Rev David and Sherry; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great- grandchildren; she will also be missed by six very close sisters-in-law; and numerous very special nieces and nephews.
    The family would like to express its heart felt thanks to Dr. McFarlane and Staff, staff at Madigan Estates and everyone at HRH Progressive Care who made her feel like family.
    Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home, 6 to 8 p.m. Monday services were held at the funeral home 11 a.m. Tues. Interment was in the Houlton Evergreen Cemetery.
