Alumni hoop games scheduled at Caribou HS
The annual Caribou High School alumni basketball games will take place tonight. The girls game begins at 6 p.m. and the boys game at 7:30 p.m. All former Viking players are welcome to attend. The alumni teams will be wearing white tops for the games.
Pre-season basketball tourney this weekend
The annual Caribou High School Pre-Season Basketball Tournament will be held Friday and Saturday.
The Caribou girls and boys will take on Carleton North High School on Friday, with the girls game at 6 p.m. and the boys game at 7:30 p.m. Waterville will be the opponent the following day. Game times are 11 a.m. for the girls and 12:30 p.m. for the boys.

Turkey Trot 5K slated for Saturday
The 23rd annual Cary Medical Center Turkey Trot 5K Road Race will be held at Caribou High School Saturday.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the race begins at 10 a.m. The registration fee is $10 and includes a long-sleeved T-shirt to the first 65 to enter. There are awards in three age categories in addition to the overall race winners. The post-race ceremonies include the traditional turkey-topped pizza.

Small Steps to begin winter registration
Small Steps Dance is accepting registrations for its winter dance session, which begins Jan. 4, 2009 at the Caribou Recreation Department.

OAPI offering fall adventures
PRESQUE ISLE –The University’s Outdoor Adventure Program International (OAPI) is offering a Bouldering Bash in Orono on Saturday, Dec. 6. The group will depart from Gentile Hall at 5:15 a.m. and return to Presque Isle by 7:30 p.m. No experience is required. See Rock Wall Staff or Amanda Morin for more information on how to join the team. OAPI will provide transportation and snacks. Cost is to be announced.
