Red Cross to hold training class

    CARIBOU – Have you ever had the desire to train others in performing life saving skills? The Aroostook County Branch of the American Red Cross-Pine Tree Chapter is offering a 3-day Red Cross Instructor Training Class Dec. 10-12 with reserved snow dates of Dec. 17-19 at the 111 High St. office in Caribou from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day.     As an American Red Cross instructor, you will promote the qualities of the Red Cross while you serve as a role model, teaching others to become certified in CPR, first aid, and various other health and safety trainings. You will be trained in a manner that helps participants stay engaged in the learning process while providing corrective feedback and encouragement consistent with the critical skill performance steps. This training also provides a chance for individuals to earn a supplemental income.
    Participants will need to have a current certificate in CPR and First Aid either from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Pre-registration is required by Monday, Dec. 8. For more information or to register, please call 493-4620.
