HIV/AIDS benefit dance

    HOULTON — Northern Lambda (a 501c3 non-profit organization), as a part of their pledge for community support, is hosting a benefit dance to raise assistance and awareness for those living with HIV/AIDS in Aroostook County.     “Red Ribbons and Snowflakes” will take place on Saturday, Dec. 27 from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Meduxnekeag Ramblers Snowmobile Club on Wiley Road in Littleton. There is a $5 minimum donation at the door and the dance is 18 years and older only.
    In addition to donations at the door, Northern Lambda will also have boxes available for donations of non-perishable food items to contribute to the Northern Lambda Community Support Food Pantry, as well as collection boxes for donated gas cards and food cards.
    If you are unable to attend the event but still wish to help out, you can mail Northern Lambda a check or money order, or you can use the convenient and secure PayPal button on the Web site. Please make checks payable to “Northern Lambda” and notate “2008 Winter Benefit”.
