ORANGE, CA – Stephen Earle Barton, 62, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 24, 2009.
Steve was born in New Brunswick, Canada, attended Houlton High School, and is a graduate of the University of Maine and Villanova University. His 40-year career in the rubber and elastomers industry took him to Pennsylvania, Tennessee, England, Michigan, Washington and California. He was an honored executive and leader who was well respected by all those who knew him or worked with him.
His loves included his family, golf, cards, puzzles, traveling the world and reading.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty; his son, Andy (wife Sally); his daughter, Jenny (husband Chad); his daughter, Amy (husband Don); his sister, Judy (husband Harvey); his sister Joan (husband Hal); and six grandchilren, Aubrei, Melissa, Madison, Julia, Caroline and Parker.
