Morin, Irene M., 84, Caribou, in Scarborough, February 19, 2009. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., February 28, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Arrangements are in the care of the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou. CARIBOU – Irene M. Morin, 84, formerly of Caribou, passed away peacefully, February 19, 2009 at the Gosnell House in Scarborough after living with her son Sam and his wife Pearl in Saco for seventeen months. Irene was born at Caribou, November 12, 1924, the daughter of Pat and Madeline (Dubay) Levesque. She attended schools locally and worked in a bakery and various factories. Irene enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting and knitting. She loved spending time with her granddaughters and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Samuel of 56 years, a son Mark Morin, two brothers Omer and Percy and by two sisters Carolyn and Barbara.
Irene is survived by her son Samuel Morin and his wife Pearl of Saco; two brothers Patrick Levesque and his wife Patsy of Caribou and Clarence Levesque and his wife Leatrice of CT; one sister Loraine Reid and her husband George of NJ; two granddaughters Tracie and her fiancé Chris, and Kathryn and her husband Matt; four great-grandchildren Hannah, Noah, Grace and Eli and one step-grandson Shaun Perry.
Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou 6-8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Spring interment will take place in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
