BLAINE – Charles Terrell, 87, passed away Friday, February 27, 2009, at a Presque Isle hospital with his loving wife Marjorie at his side. He was born September 4, 1921, in Mars Hill, the son of Arthur and Irma (Chase) Terrell.
Charles worked many years as a painter and drywaller and was extremely well known for the quality of his work as well as his professionalism. Charles’s relationship with God was the most important part of his life and he spent many hours serving him as a longtime deacon, Sunday school secretary, as well as maintaining the church grounds at Faith Baptist Chapel where he was a charter member. In addition to his wife of 50 years, Marjorie (Powell) Terrell of Blaine, he is survived by three siblings: Rowena Grass of Bridgewater, Gerald “Jake” Terrell of Mars Hill, Norma McCrum and her husband Bertram of Mars Hill as well as many nieces and nephews. He will also be fondly remembered by a special friend, Dalton Scovil of Blaine.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at the Faith Baptist Chapel in Blaine with the Rev. Robert Chamberland officiating. Friends may call from 12 noon until time of service. A reception will immediately follow in the church fellowship hall. Donations may be made to the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Maine, INC.
