Two “ATLC Weekend” programs have been scheduled on two Saturdays in March for students in grades six through eight in the Presque Isle and Caribou area. ATLC Weekends are a part of the Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp program, a teen leadership development and drug prevention program sponsored by Aroostook Mental Health Services, Inc.
ATLC Weekends consist of team-building activities and workshops on teen topics such as decision-making and assertiveness. Each ATLC Weekend is presented by a team of Aroostook County teens who attended an ATLC summer leadership camp. Pizza and drinks are provided for lunch, along with healthful snacks during the day.
ATLC Weekends have been scheduled at Presque Isle Middle School on Saturday, March 14, and at the Caribou Middle School on Saturday, March 21. Each event is from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
The ATLC Weekend at Presque Isle is open to students in grades six through eight in Presque Isle, Easton and Bridgewater. The Caribou ATLC Weekend is open to Caribou and Woodland students in grades six through eight.
Registration materials are available at each school. There is no cost to participate.
