Turning 90

A special Open House is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Aroostook Historical and Art Museum at 109 Main St., as curator Catherine “Kay” Bell will be turning 90 years old. The birthday bash will be open for friends and relatives from 1-4 p.m. with lots of food, conversation and of course, stories. The presence of friends and family will be her gifts. “I was born in Houlton, at home,” said Bell. “Between 1927 and 1957, I lived in Monticello, Scarsdale, N.Y. and Mars Hill, but like a bad penny, I’ve always returned to Houlton. It’s home. I love its history, its people and its architecture.”
