Silliboy has been involved in the building industry for nearly four years. He came to Ward Cedar Log Homes as a sales coordinator, working with sales representatives throughout the country on developing and closing home sales. Over the past two years, he has been directly involved in over $3 million worth of new home sales as a corporate sales representative, selling homes nationally. Silliboy has participated in numerous national log and timber frame shows, promoting the industry and its benefits to consumers.
The awards program is designed to capture the entrepreneurial spirit and dynamism of the future leaders in the building systems community by recognizing 30 exceptional building systems professionals across the nation under the age of 40. The systems built industry includes log, modular, panelized, and concrete housing.
A distinguished panel of judges in the building systems industry selected the winners. The awards are presented each year during the National Associations of Home Builders International Builders Show.
Dana Delano, director of sales and marketing at Ward Cedar Log Homes said, “We are proud of Ron and his accomplishments. This is a very prestigious award in our industry and we are happy that Ron has been recognized by industry professionals for his dedication and insightfulness.”
Delano added that Silliboy not only represents the company with distinction, but the entire system built industry as well. “His career in this market will be long and rewarding,” Delano said.
Ward Cedar Log Homes is America’s first log home manufacturer. In 1923, a lumberman from Madawaska named Bruce Ward invented a special interlocking milling technique and began manufacturing log homes, cabins, and buildings. The premier company in the industry was founded.
Ward is considered the leader in northern white cedar log construction and continues to build with the craftsmanship and quality that consumers expect in today’s marketplace, said Delano.
