TOPS #ME 233, Houlton

    Take Off Pounds Sensibly Chapter 233 of Houlton met at the Aldergate building on High Street on March 20.
    There were 16 ladies in attendance plus four KOPS. Loser of the week was Denise Kinney with runners-up Margaret Dudley and Vicki Little.
    Leader Joyce Estey led the meeting. Janette Nelson was the exercise instructor.
    Brenda Lacostic won the 50/50, and the skinny dish; Aileen Smith took home the mystery gift.
    Joyce read to us a letter from Janette Soliere about the upcoming SRD meeting in May.
    Melva Folsom, our charm lady present charms for perfect attendance. October to December, Denise Kinney, Elinor Harvey, Janette Nelson, Joyce Estey, Lois Downing, Joanne Scott, Donna Parent, and Betty Ivey; for leeway, Barbara Grant and Betty Ivey, for November; Charlotte Marley, November to December; Donna Parent and November, Lois Downing.
    We have finished our trek to Tennessee and Charlotte Marley our contest director introduced a new contest.
    The next meeting will be Friday, March 27 at the same location.

Island Falls Senior Citizens
    The Island Falls Senior Citizens met on March 19, at the municipal building for a potluck luncheon.
    After the Lord’s Prayer and Flag Salute, the meeting was called to order by the president, Terry Dwyer. Secretary’s report was read and accepted. Treasurer’s report was read and accepted.
    Cards were signed and sent to Mildred Kennard, Katherine Springer, Lona Mackenzie and Eleanor Gellerson.
    Sandy and Rich entertained, and all enjoyed it.
    Next meeting on April 2, the “game” will be played.
    Those attending were: Mary Pipes, Mary Lawler, Helen Sherman, Gladys Ferguson, Verna MacArthur, Jim and Shirley D’Angelo, Marjorie Nicholson, Terry Dwyer, Edith Dwyer, Edward Dwyer, and Glorya Noyes; Roger and Sharon Sirois, and Sandy and Rich Camire were guests.
Sherman Area  Senior Citizens
    The Sherman Area Senior Citizens Club which includes folks from Patten, Stacyville, Benedicta and Silver Ridge met at the Sherman gym at 11:30 a.m. For pot luck lunch on Wednesday, March 18th.
    At our first April meeting on April 1, come prepared to play The GAME. Bring a bagged lunch to use as a prize to the lucky winner. Hopefully, we’ll see an increase of attendance as friends return home who have been visiting and wintering in warmer climate south of our cold snowy borders.
    The third Wednesday, April 15th will feature the belated Easter Ham Dinner at 11:30. Celebrate the arrival of SPRING ! Call Annie if you can help.
