Massachusetts woman looking for family up north

To the editor:
    I am descended from a Wilkins family which arrived in Amity around 1835. Samuel and Leeta Wilkins had four adult children with them. I believe the two older sons, Samuel, Jr., and Almon continued to live in Amity, but their children moved to Monticello and Presque Isle.     And, I have reason to believe that there might be descendants of that family still living in the Presque Isle area.
    For seven years, I have tried to find out where Samuel was born around 1780 and who his parents were. And I am hoping that a descendant of his might know, so I would like to correspond with him or her.
