VAN BUREN & CARIBOU – Clarence L. Nadeau, Sr., 78, died peacefully March 28, 2009, at a Bangor hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born in St. Leonard, N.B., Canada, March 10, 1931, the son of Theophile and Ida (Fournier) Nadeau. Clarence was employed as a patrol foreman and section leader for the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad for many years.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Martin) Nadeau of Caribou; three sons, Clarence Nadeau, Jr. and his wife Joann of Caribou; Wayne Nadeau and his wife Lynne of Drummond, N.B., Glenn Nadeau and his wife Tammy of Caribou; one daughter, Debbie Nadeau and companion, Costas Karras of Fryeburg; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Justin, Jason, Jamie, Taylor, and Evan Nadeau. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Geneva Nadeau and Claire (Ouellette) Stedt.
Relatives and friends may call at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, from 9 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday, April 1, 2009. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery later this spring.
