Image    CHARLESTON, S.C. – Kristen Amanda Havens, 28, of Hanahan, S.C., entered into eternal rest Sunday, March 22, 2009. Kristen was born Oct. 7, 1980, in Little Rock, Ark., a daughter of Karla Ann St. Peter and Michael Douglas Havens II. She was a 1999 graduate of Caribou High School. She was an insurance agent for Roe and Associates Insurance Agency. Kristen was a woman who embraced life and all it had to offer. She was a loving and devoted mother to her little Isabella, who was the light of her life. Kristen left us on a beautiful spring day in pursuit of one of her new passions, motorcycling. She was an adventurous woman that refused to sit on the sidelines and watch life go by. Kristen would rather jump in with enthusiasm and enjoyed all that she could. Her life can be summed up by a quote from her father that "Kristen died living."
    Kristen is survived by her daughter, Isabella Amanda Havens-Salas; her best friend and father to Isabella, Philip Salas; her mother, Karla St. Peter and her husband, Paul; her father, Michael D. Havens II and his wife, Dina; her sister, Mariah Havens, her step-brothers and step-sisters John Bednar Jr., Bridget Bednar, James Bednar and Amber Havens; as well as her grandparents, Jeanette Hanson, Norma Miller and Shirley White; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
    Relatives and friends of Kristen A. Havens attended her funeral service 1 p.m. Friday, March 27, at James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston, S.C., the family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday. There will be a memorial service for Kristen at a later date in Caribou, which will be announced.
